Jan 7, 2023 Rob Lauer Political Reporter The NVGOP (Nevada GOP) will be holding their annual meeting this coming Saturday, January 14, 2023, starting at 7 a.m. in Ely at the Bristlecone Convention Center, where they will elect a new National Committeewoman. The National Committee Woman votes on the RNC’s (National Republican Committee) chair and platform, among other things. The leadership choices for the Chair are critical because they control the money and how it is spent on campaigns across the Country. Recently, many Republicans have been highly critical of the current RNC Chairwoman, Ronna McDaniel, after the party’s weak midterm election performance. “Judge” Michele Fiore served as the NVGOP Committee Woman for the last several years. Due to her appointment as Justice of the Peace by a unanimous vote of the Nye County Commission, she was forced to step down. A Judge cannot be affiliated so close to any political party. High-power lawyer, fundraiser, and Lombardo transition team member Pauline Lee is facing off against high-power lawyer and former Republican nominee for Attorney General Sigal Chattah for the position of NVGOP Nation Committee Woman. Pauline Lee issued 360 News the following statement: “I am running for National Committeewoman to increase the amount and quality of resources available to the party and our candidates. My sole goal is to get our candidates elected. With over 20 years of experience in fundraising for charitable non-profits, candidates, ballot initiatives, and PACs, I am well-positioned to help the party’s messaging and the party’s candidates obtain the resources they need to be successful. This past election cycle, I directly helped and raised money for candidates, as demonstrated by the endorsements given to me by our Republican legislators.” Sigal Chattah said “My goals are to put Nevada’s constituency “front and center to ensure that our candidates have the support that they deserve.” I also want to mitigate issues with universal mail-in ballots and ensure that proper ballot harvesting matches the Democratic machine. In addition, I will fund raise and help raise the Republican brand. As a populist, constitutionalist, patriot and an ‘America First’ candidate, “I think what we’re looking for right now is a more populist party, much less dependent on consultants,” Michele Fiore told 360 “Before I was sworn in as a judge I asked Sigal to run in my place” Link to event here:
