On March 24, 2020, Nevada Secretary of State Barbara Cegavske changed the 2020 June Primary election to an all mail-in-ballot election. Cegavske then caved to demands from the DNC last week and to sent ALL active and inactive voters mail-in-ballots. This week folks started receiving their ballots in the mail. That brings us to local Las Vegas resident Alex Childer.

Childer purchased his home around four years ago through the probate court for Sandy Jo Smith. Smith passed away April 8, 2016. Yep, you guessed it, Alex just received a mail-in-ballot for Sandy Jo Smith, fours years after she passed away. Smith has been on the voter rolls for the passed four years. According to the Clark County Elections Department, they do not automatically remove deceased people from the voter rolls even tho death certificates from the Southern Nevada Health District are readily available. Instead, they wait until they get a call from someone notifying them. Then they send out a form to have that person fill out. Then remove the person from the voter rolls.

Childer said on Social media “I received my mail in ballot today. I also received the ballots for the previous owners of this house. I know for a fact one of them has passed away. Good to see Clark County is really on top of this election”.
