According to the Nevada Secretary of State’s official campaign finance website, in the 2018 election, the National Rifle Association (NRA) donated zero money to Republican Candidates in Nevada, specifically for State Senate, State Assembly, for Governor, Attorney General etc. Nothing.

After Nevada Republicans took a shellacking in 2018 and with gun rights on the top of the agenda, many folks were asking where was the NRA and their money? With many candidates running in tight races for re-election in the State Senate and Assembly a little extra money could have made a big difference in many races.

The Democrat controlled Legislature passed SB 143, the back ground check law, intending to correct the problems in Question 1 passed in 2018 when the NRA was outspent 10 to 1 by Democrats and Michael Bloomberg.

NeavansCan filed a lawsuit last month seeking to block Nevada’s Red Flag Law with absolutely zero help from the NRA. The NRA has over 10,000 members in Nevada paying annual dues of $45 each. That’s $450,000 in dues the NRA is reaping from Nevadans. The NRA has refused to help Nevadans fight in court the Red Flag and new background check gun laws with any help.

Their Nevada affiliate THE NEVADA FIREARMS COALITION, run by Don Turner, is an outstanding organization that provides training and gun owner support but they don’t have the NRA’s resources to assist in the legal fight.
