NV GOP WORKING HARD TO CLOSE THE VOTER REG GAP WITH DEMS IN 2018

As reported by the Nevada Secretary of State Elections division:

(Carson City, NV; March 1, 2018) – Nevada Secretary of State Barbara Cegavske reports an increase of 9,445 active registered voters statewide during the month of February 2018 as compared to January 2018.  The total number of active registered voters in Nevada is 1,478,116, an increase of 0.64%.

Democratic Party active registered voters statewide increased by 2,316 (0.41%), and Republican Party active registered voters statewide increased by 4,239 (0.86%).  Nonpartisan active registered voters increased by 2,310 (0.74%), Independent American Party active registered voters increased by 428 (0.66%), and Libertarian Party of Nevada active registered voters increased by 134 (0.94%).  Active registered voters from a compilation of “other” minor political parties increased by 18 (0.11%).

Of the 1,478,116 active registered voters in Nevada:

• 570,083 are Democrats (38.57%);

• 496,429 are Republicans (33.59%);

• 315,731 are Nonpartisan (21.36%);

• 65,452 are members of the Independent American Party (4.43%);

• 14,456 are members of the Libertarian Party of Nevada (0.98%); and

• 15,965 are members of other minor political parties (1.08%).
