WHY THE ONE MAN THAT CAN STOP BERNIE WON’T

Former President Obama is still the de facto leader of the Democrat Party. Obama is the one man who every Democrat running for President desperately wants an endorsement from. But Obama has been suspiciously quiet through this entire Democrat Presidential Race. Not a peep.

It’s clear, that Obama doesn’t want anyone to beat Trump, because he has his own designs on the White House post Trump. If a Democrat were to win the White House in 2020, Obama would be a back bencher for at least the next 8 years. But if the Democrat loses this fall, Obama maintains his position as the most powerful Democrat in the Country. Then Obama can control who becomes the Democrat nominee in 2024, possibly his wife?

That’s right folks; Michelle Obama wants to run in 2024.

The other issue is that if Obama endorses someone other than Sanders, who a clear majority of the Democrat Party now supports, Obama could potentially alienate those Democrats. So sitting this out for now is the smart move. Obama may have considered supporting Biden, but Biden has imploded and looks so weak that even an Obama bump wouldn’t be enough to drag Biden across the finish line. So if Obama endorses Biden and Biden loses the Democratic nomination that also would damage Obama’s stature in the Party.

Obama, like every politician, ultimately pursues policies that are in their own personal interests and Obama has made the calculation that endorsing anyone right now has no upside for him.
