SISOLAK RECALL TARGETS NV 2A SHERIFF JESSE WATTS

SISOLAK RECALL TARGETS NV 2A SHERIFF JESSE WATTS

Eureka Sheriff Jesse Watts was the first elected law enforcement officer in Nevada to stand up to Gov. Sisolak who refused to enforce the illegal, unconstitutional gun background check law and the red flag gun grab law. In fact Jesse Law joined the lawsuit against Sisolak over the red flag gun grab lawsuit. Watts recently refused to enforce any of Sisolak’s CV19 Emergency orders.

So now, Sisolak’s forces are coming after Jesse launching a recall against the Sheriff in his own county of Eureka. Sheriff Watts issued the following statement regarding the recall:

Good Evening Eureka County Citizens,

I am coming to you to let you know, that yesterday August 5th, 2021, I received notice of an Intent to Recall Petition that will be circulated around Eureka County to remove me from the Office of Sheriff.

The petitioners, Ashley Adams, Jacqueline Berg, and Cindy Beutel have stated that “Jesse Watts spends too much of our taxpayer money. He misuses the County funds entrusted to him. Jesse Watts fails to properly investigate crime. He thinks he is above the law. Jesse Watts does not want law enforcement to help people. He only helps himself. Jesse Watts is only interested in his own personal gain and his own fame. Give Jesse Watts what he deserves – to be recalled from Office!”

No specifics have been given in any of the allegations.

It will require 148 verified signatures of voters, who voted in the 2018 primary election to get a Recall on a special election ballot.  Then, a special election will be called and put in front of ALL the voters of Eureka County.  This special election will cost thousands of tax dollars, when the normal cycle Sheriff election is in November of 2022 (unless a primary is triggered in June of 2022), at no additional tax dollars.

I will be writing a factual, direct statement to these allegations and releasing it soon.  The men and women of the Eureka County Sheriff’s Office, including me, will continue to work everyday to safeguard this county, and our communities the best way we know how.

I am appalled by the dirty political actions of those involved that have came out since I’ve announced I would be running for re-election. This Recall petition included.  Sad to see in our community.

God Bless, Stay Safe!
