RUMORS SWIRLING IN NV ABOUT NEW U.S. SENATE CANDIDATE

So far, the Republican primary for the U.S. Senate to challenge U.S. Senator Jacky Rosen has attracted Cali carpetbagger racist thug Rhonda Kennedy, local Vegas real estate broker who looks like an Italian casino mob boss’ wife, Stephanie Phillips.

Former U.S. Army Captain Sam Brown, a former US Senate Candidate is on the fence.

According to rumors, Laxalt is out, Sandoval is a no-go, and Tony Lane is out. While I was at the Governor’s Ball, I heard numerous folks pitch April Becker as a possible candidate for the U.S. Senate.

April Backer raised millions of dollars and lost by less than 2%, but here’s where it gets interesting. She garnered more votes in the general election in CD3 than Lombardo and Laxalt. Laxalt only lost by 1% to Cortez Masto, a Hispanic woman. Rosen is not Hispanic, so she loses that electoral advantage. Rosen is very vulnerable.

Backer is an attorney who comes from a Vegas legacy family with deep roots and a long history of supporting conservative causes. April was one of the hardest working candidates I ever saw. But the fact that she lost her two previous races and never actually won an election may work against her.

But the powers that be seem to be supporting Becker in the U.S. Senate race. With the Republicans’ history of competitive primaries draining candidates’ wallets, will the party this time be willing to get behind one candidate and avoid a messy, expensive primary race so we can take back the U.S. Senate? Not without strong party leadership.
