According to public records, AD Astra Recovery, Rapid Cash’s collections company, has had over 41 consumer complaints filed against it just since the beginning of January 2019 with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. Financial. According to the BBB, there have been over 410 complaints filed against Astra Recovery, including 220 just in the past twelve months. Rapid Cash and other payday loan companies are currently under fire and facing new laws in the Nevada to limit how much interest they can charge borrowers. Rapid Cash charges more that 300% annual interest on short terms loans and other companies charge more than 600% interest annually. According to attorney Sergei Lemberg, AD Astra is a serial offender they have sued dozen of times over the years for everything from violating the Fair Credit Reporting Act to calling and harassing debtors with lies and threats.
