HomePoliticsDID THE DNC HACK NEVADA’S ELECTION SYSTEM? NEW NSA REPORT SAYS IT’S POSSIBLE Politics DID THE DNC HACK NEVADA’S ELECTION SYSTEM? NEW NSA REPORT SAYS IT’S POSSIBLE June 13, 2017 A recently leaked classified National Security Agency document recently, disclosed by the Intercept, shows the scope of alleged hacking that federal investigators are scrutinizing. According to the secret report, Russia breached 39 States in an Election Cyber attack. Nevada has been a critical swing state for the past 50 years, so it shouldn’t be a surprise if we were the target of hackers. But, Nevada Secretary of State Barbara Cegavske has denied any problems existed with the State’s election computer system. But the new NSA report raises questions about the State’s election computer security. During the election in November 2016, the county elections departments would upload the day’s voting results onto their own computers and then upload those results onto the Nevada Secretary of State’s central system over the internet. According to computer experts, the State and Counties were vulnerable to hacking attacks during this process. The Nevada State Legislature passed a bill this year funding new voting machines which are also fairly easy to hack according to several experts. The fact is, that this new report demonstrates the nation’s and Nevada’s voting system is vulnerable to hacking and now puts the credibility of the system in question. If the Russians can hack the State’s voting computer systems then so could the DNC. The report opens the door to the possibly that anyone with the means and the will could have hacked 39 states’ election computer systems. That includes the DNC, the RNC or anyone. Every major poll had Donald Trump up winning Nevada. Our news report from October 2016: In a new poll out from Rasmussen, Trump is leading Clinton in Nevada 42% to 39%, a 3 point lead. That is consistent with a recent poll done by LA Times/USC tracking the same 3,000 voters which provides less volatility. The LA Times/USC Tracking was conducted from 9/14 – 9/20 and consisted of a sample of 2629 Likely Voters giving Trump a 4 point lead. Trump 46 – Clinton 39. The polls have seen Independents breaking for Trump over the past 4 weeks. Rob Lauer Political Reporter US Army Veteran 360Daily.net
