NV DEMS’ WANT TO MAKE 9th MONTH BACK-ALLEY ABORTIONS LEGAL AGAIN

No, that’s not click bait. NV Dems are now pushing two new ballot initiatives to “expand abortion access”.  The ballot initiatives are so bad that even the Nevada Catholic Church is publicly condemning it. And they were deadly silent when Sisolak (a Catholic) signed SB179 the sex traffickers protection act.

The ballot initiative will remove the current legal requirement that only licensed physicians can perform abortions. If the ballot initiative passes, any medical professional could perform abortions in any medical setting without any health and safety regulations. That includes nurses, dietitians, athletic trainers, physical therapists, etc.

Nevada law, SB179, “Trust Nevada Women Act,”  already protects pimps and sex traffickers who take young girls to get abortions from any criminal investigative process. The law repealed the requirement for a physician to certify in writing that the patient gave their consent freely without coercion or age verification. Worse, the state decriminalized people who are unqualified by state standards to give abortions using medications or instruments and shielded witnesses from testifying about these nearly state-sanctioned, dangerous black-market abortions. BTW RINO Carrie Buck was the only Republican who voted for this.

This new Dem-sponsored ballot initiative would also strip away any parental notice and permission for any such medical procedures, including abortions and gender surgeries.

Currently, under Nevada law, abortion is legal up to 24 weeks of pregnancy. The Dems’ sponsored ballot initiative would make abortion legal up to birth.

Democrats used to call for safe, legal, and rare abortions. Modern science has made human life viable down to 22 weeks.

According to medical reports:

In the best of circumstances, about 3 in 10 babies born at 22 weeks survive. The survival rate is about 40% for all babies born at 24 weeks’ gestation, 50% for those born at 25 weeks, 60% for those born at 26 weeks, 70% for those born at 27 weeks, and 80% for those born at 28 weeks.

Abortion at nine months is murder. No question. But Dems are running again on the abortion issue, and Republicans look like deer in the headlights, scared to say anything. Dems are already pounding Sam Brown on the issue in email blasts to donors. But Sam Brown’s wife recently issued a statement in which she admitted to having an abortion years ago. Sam Brown said her experience showed him that politicians have to “lead with compassion.”

The Republican Party was started in 1854 by people who opposed slavery against Southern Democrats. This led to the Civil War and the deaths of 650K Americans. But we prevailed and freed millions of people forever.

Republicans need to take this issue head on if they don’t want to get destroyed again like in 2022. We cannot win by splitting the baby. If the Republican Party does not stand up to secret back alley abortions not performed by doctors in the ninth month without parental consent and notification, then the party has no future. Opposing inflation didn’t work in 2022 and it won’t work  in 2024.
