NEVADA’S 2ND AMENDMENT POSTER CHILD

NEVADA’S 2ND AMENDMENT POSTER CHILD

April 5, 2024

Career dirt-bag, Jarod Robert Walker, was arrested this week by Las Vegas Metro Police after crashing his car in an apartment complex parking lot. Walker allegedly hit a car and then a tree, and then he tried to flee through the complex but left a trail of oil that led police to him.

When the police caught up to him sitting in his SUV he was drunk of course. Of course, the thug resisted arrest and fought the cops. Of course, he lost. And of course, he had a gun on him.

2nd Amendment supporters have argued for years that gun control laws don’t work because criminals don’t care about laws. Walker, a recent California transient, is the poster child. According to court records, in 2002, Walker was convicted for breaking into Vegas homes and stealing guns. He was charged with burglary and twice with  “GRAND LARCENY OF FIREARM”, convicted and did some time.

Fast forward to 2022, and Walker was arrested with a firearm and charged with 999, Own/poss gun by prohibit pers [51460]. For all you folks on the left, it’s illegal for a felony to be in possession of a firearm already. But Walker didn’t care. But the charges got kicked, and he was let go.

This week, once again, Walker was caught with a firearm by the police. He is charged with the following:

Own/poss gun by prohibit pers [51460]
Carry conceal expl/gun/dang weap w/o prmt [51459]
Resist pub off, w/firearm [55104]
Poss gun w/altered/removed ser num [51438]
Fail give info to party(s) at veh acdnt [53745]
Duty to stop at scene of acdnt involving damage to veh/prop which is driven/attended [53744]
Fail render aid at veh acdnt [53747]
DUI of alcohol and/or controlled or prohibited substance, 1st offense [53900]
Fail to yield right of way from private way [53804]
Poss gun under infl of alc/drug [51427]

Nevada needs a three-strikes law. We don’t need more gun control laws. Three serious violent felonies, and you are gone. California saw a drop of 56% in crime in the 1990s after they passed three strikes. What they found was that 90% of the crimes were committed by 5% of the public. Also, criminals facing three strikes were held without bail. We know what works.

Unfortunately, we have too many weak Republicans here in Nevada who refuse to step up, do what is right, and protect the public.

So the next time some Dem say we need more gun control, ask how many years in prison should gun criminals like Jarod Robert Walker should get for violating the law? Then you’ll know that they just want to control you and not stop crime.
