According to NPRI, Bateman is currently drawing an annual salary and benefits package as a Henderson City Councilman of $80,375,35 and he also works for the Clark County District Attorney’s Office receiving pay there totalling $159,061.78. So for 2015 Mr. Bateman’s total compensation from both government entities totaled over $239,000. Jeffrey Posin, one of his opponents in the race said “It’s an example of another establishment guy playing the system with numerous conflicts of interests which is part of a pattern of how Mr. Bateman has run his campaign so far to date.” The average Justice of the Peace in Clark County draws over $200,000 a year including benefits and pay.
