According to campaign sources, U.S. Senate Republican Minority Leader, Mitch McConnell, called Fox News last week in an effort to pressure them to keep Nevada Republican Candidate off the air. Sam Brown raised more than $1.1 Million in last quarter which is huge news for any candidate especially a first time Senate candidate.

Sam Brown was severally burned and injured as a U.S. Army Captain in a road side bomb attack in Afghanistan. Ever since Twitter put a warning label over his face on the 4th of July when he announced his run for office he’s been soaring in news coverage contributing to his rise in the polls and cash pouring in.

This week, Laxalt will be reporting his fundraising. If its not at least double Sam Brown’s $1.1 million, it will be a signal to folks that Laxalt’s support is lacking. In a recent poll, Brown is beating Laxalt 46% to 28%.

It appears McConnell may have succeeded in keeping Sam Brown off Fox News last week. Sam appeared instead on NewsMax TV.
