SNHD/CCSD ORDERS PARENTS TO GET KIDS VACCINATED FOR DISTANCE LEARNING

Even though CCSD is not having on campus classes this school year, leaving kids at home to “distance learn”, the Southern Nevada Health District is still ordering parents to get their kids vaccinated before “school starts”.

“We have noticed that due to the COVID-19 pandemic vaccinations have declined rapidly, so we want everyone to come in, don’t wait until the last minute.” Said Chong-Dao.

CCSD, supported SNHD orders issuing a statement stating “immunizations are required for enrollment under Nevada Law and it applies to a distanced learning as well.”

However, there are religious and health exemptions under Nevada for a little while longer. In 2019, Assemblywoman Lesley Cohen and other Democrats supported AD123 described by parents groups as “The bill forces children with exemptions to have their federal educational protections waived, so the health department didn’t have to abide by federal rules under FERPA. If the parents wouldn’t sign the paper waiving their child’s privacy rights, they wouldn’t enroll them in school and wanted to deem the child neglected and put them in a state registry. Clark County came in to tell them they couldn’t deem a child neglected without an investigation.” The bill died in the Senate, but Immunize Nevada, the bill’s author, is planning to push forward again next year.

While everyone is for voluntary vaccinations, and believe people should make their own choices, there are groups actively seeking to write laws to force everyone to take vaccines wiping out the exemptions and privacy issues. Assemblywoman Cohen has accepted, with open arms, donations and support from these groups.

Cohen is running for reelection against Dr. Steven DeLisle in Nevada State Assembly 29. Dr. Steve opposes mandatory vaccines for adults and children.
