On July 10, 2020, out of the blue, with only 1 day notice, Gov. Sisolak shutdown all bars and taverns in most of the state over false allegations of mask noncompliance. 62 Taverns sued Governor Sisolak and today they had a court hearing. The judge is expected to make her decision tomorrow.

Gov. Sisolak’s lawyer told the judge Sisolak has the right to impose whatever directives he sees fit under Emergency Orders. He went on to say if the public doesn’t like it they can vote him out of office in the next election. Sisolak’s lawyer went on to say the court has no authority to impose an injunction against Gov. Sisolak’s unconstitutional emergency directives.

But Dennis Kennedy, lawyer representing some 62 shuttered taverns shot back saying “So Sisolak’s thinks he can suspend habus corpus and the people and the courts have no say?”
