SISOLAK Politics NV RINO’S VOTE FOR SB538 “Office for New Americans in the Office of the Governor” May 21, 2019 Our Nevada Republican Senators just voted for SB538 “creating the Office for New Americans in the Office of the Governor; establishing the duties of the Office; requiring state agencies and political subdivisions to provide certain assistance to the Office; requiring each regulatory body to create an online resource for immigrants that provides information about obtaining a license or similar authorization to practice certain occupations or professions; and providing other matters properly relating thereto.” Yesterday May 20, 2019, the Nevada State Senate passed SB538 and Republican Senators Scott Hammond, Joe Hardy, Keith Pickard, all voted YEA. The bill failed to cited any fiscal notes or any financial costs. The bill was backed by Democrat Congresswoman Dina Titus and the Culinary union, according to official records.
