BILL ALERT! NV DEMS’ BILL LETS HOMELESS SUE BIZ & HOME OWNERS

If you buy a vacant dirt lot in Clark County, you cannot just pitch a tent and live on your own property. You must build a structure that complies with county zoning and building codes. But if you’re homeless, Sen. Dallas Harris and other Dems think it’s perfectly okay to pitch a tent on your sidewalk.

S.B. 142, called the “Homeless Bill of Rights”, authored by:

c) Use and move freely in or on public places, including,
without limitation, public sidewalks, government buildings, public
parks and public transportation vehicles.

Sec. 4. A person experiencing homelessness may bring a civil
action in a court of competent jurisdiction for a violation of
section
3 of this act to seek any or all of the following relief:
1. Declaratory and injunctive relief.

2. Actual damages.

3. Reasonable attorney’s fees.

4. Any other legal or equitable relief that the court deems
appropriate.
This means the homeless can hire a lawyer, like Sen. Harris, to sue businesses and homeowners who chase away the homeless who defecate and sleep on the sidewalk in front of their home or business. And you get to pay their attorney fees. Yay. Because it’s not fair that you’re not a drug addict crazy dirty homeless person.
.
Its immoral to allow mentally ill drug addicts who cannot care for themselves to sleep on the sidewalks in their own filth. Instead of helping get the homeless off the streets, Dems want to protect the right of the homeless to sleep on sidewalks. This bill is the fastest way to turn Las Vegas into a shithole like LA has become. The last time I visited LA over the Thanksgiving holiday, the news on the car radio reported about a traffic jam ahead on the 101 freeway caused by a homeless camp on fire.
Of course, this won’t affect this black transgender Nevada State Senator, Harris, who came to us straight from California in recent years with a 909 area code and was appointed to the Senate. Oh, I forgot to mention Harris lives in a walled off community. She was appointed to the state Senate in 2018.
Every loser lawyer will now go hire and recruit homeless clients to sue property owners, endlessly seeking attorney fees. This bill would be a true disaster for Clark County and Washoe County.
.
The Senate will hold a hearing today at 1pm which you can attend at the Grant Sawyer State Office building.
