The Democrat controlled Nevada State Legislature introduced Senate Joint Resolution 5 (SJR5) which would add a 60 day session to even years in addition to the current 90 day sessions every other year. The Dems also seek to increase their own pay by about 150% percent in the process which would cost tax payers $26 million. The change in pay is automatic if voted in by lawmakers, but the new 60 day sessions in even years would require an amendment to the State Constitution. Not a single Republican signed on as a co-sponsor.
