NV ATTORNEY GENERAL AARON FORD THREATENS 2ND AMENDMENT SANCTUARY SHERIFFS

Dec. 11, 2019

Nevada Attorney General Aaron Ford made it clear in an interview on Nevada Public Radio that any Nevada County Sheriff or County Commissioners who refuse to enforce the new gun laws, including the Red Flag and Background check laws, past this last session that go into effect January 1, 2020, could be held personally liable if they stick to their sanctuary status. Since March of this year, every Sheriff in the state and many counties have declared themselves 2nd Amendment Sanctuaries stating publicly that they will refuse to enforce laws they consider unconstitutional.

So its ironic that Democrat Attorney General Aaron Ford, who supports sanctuary cities for illegal aliens, would publicly threaten Counties Officials and Sheriffs for using that same tactic on 2nd Amendment issues.

In the radio interview earlier this week, Ford said he spoke before the Nevada Sheriffs’ and Chiefs’ Association telling them they all have a duty to enforce every law until such time as the law is declared unconstitutional.

Ford went on to say “There are concerns about an individual who does not uphold the law being held personally liable if someone gets hurt because you did not uphold that law,” he said, continuing, “They don’t have to worry about me suing. They have to worry about potentially an aggrieved individual suing.”
