LOMBARDO SAYS CRIMINAL ILLEGAL ALIEN DETAINERS UP 70% UNDER TRUMP IN HIS FIRST 100 DAYS

This week, Sheriff Lombardo spoke at a luncheon in which he explained the significant differences between the Obama and Trump administration’s handling of illegal alien detainers. According to Lombardo, the Obama Administration only picked up about 30% of the illegal aliens in custody Metro flagged for ICE. However, under President Trump, that number, in just the first 100 days, has increased already by 70% to 50% of all illegal aliens being picked up by ICE here in Clark County.

According to Lombardo, Metro is forced to release the balance of the Illegal aliens not picked up by ICE within 48 hours. Lombardo said if an illegal alien is picked up for a traffic warrant he’s not going to hold him. He is focused only on turning over to ICE the most dangerous illegal aliens in custody.
