THE HELLER/TARK AMBUSH HAS OPENED THE GATES OF HELL AMONG TRUMP LOYALISTS

March 19, 2018

On Friday, the last day to file for office, Danny Tarkanian announced he was honoring a personal request from the President of the United States, to switch from his U.S. Senate bid against incumbent Dean Heller to Congressional District #3. This last minute switch has opened up the gates of hell with Trump loyalists who seem to be taking their frustration out on Tark.

Over the weekend, loyal Trump supporters have openly expressed their surprise and frustration over the Heller/Tark ambush. They were set to vote Heller out of office over his open disloyalty in 2016 to then Candidate Trump and his refusal to vote to repeal Obamacare in the summer of 2017. But over the past year or so, Heller has voted over 90% of the time with President Trump in an effort to win his support.

Last week, Heller’s efforts paid off as the president personally appealed to Danny Tarkanian to switch races to the Congressional seat he lost in 2016 by only 1,000 votes. Tark begrudgingly complied. But the fact that the switch was announced Friday,at the last to file, meant Heller would sale thru the primary now without any serious potential Republican challenger. Many Trump supporters have been working hard over the past 8 months to unseat Heller and now feel betrayed by Tark.

Even though Tark took one for the team and is trying to be a good Trump soldier by switching races, the Trump loyalists have been taking their frustration out on him over the weekend on social media.

There are around 14 candidates now in the race for CD3 and many of the most serious candidates were also ambushed by the news on Friday. Victoria Seaman, Sen. Scott Hammond, Dave McKeon and Michelle Mortensen are not just going away quietly now into the night after the Friday Heller/Tark ambush.

The CD3 Republican Primary race now promises to be an all-out shooting war as Trump Loyalists ignore the President’s endorsement of Tark as they maneuver for position over the next two and a half months, because they all realize there are no points for second place.
