(as of April 28). Over 99% of those patients infected with COVID 19 who died in Nevada were over 65 years or had at least one underlying condition. March 23, 2020, Governor Steve Sisolak (D) issued an emergency order limiting access to the use of anti-malaria drugs such as hydroxychloroquine for Corona virus patients. Sisolak’s order he also prevented senior citizens from using chloroquine as a prophylactic to prevent the disease. Sisolak’s Chief Medical Officer of Nevada is named Ihsan Azzam and he is the one who advised Gov. Sisolak to make it illegal to prescribe hydroxychloroquine to COVID-19 victims unless they’re in an Hospital. Ihsan Azzam does not have a license to practice medicine in the United States and yet he is dictating public health policy in Nevada. The NEVADA OSTEOPATHIC MEDICAL ASSOCIATION just filed a new lawsuit accusing Nevada Governor Sisolak and the Nevada Board of Pharmacies of practicing medicine without a license when they banned Doctors from prescribing hydroxychloroquine to patients stricken with COVID19 until they so sick they ended up in a hospital, violating Nevada and federal law. The lawsuit filed in Washoe County, is seeking EMERGENCY DECLARATORY RELIEF. Nevada Lawyer Joey Gilbert wrote “The Emergency Regulation violates the rights of Plaintiffs and Nevada citizens by: (1) restricting the right of an individual to receive approved treatment for a communicable disease; (2) restricting the right of an individual to receive approved treatment from the physician, clinic, or person of his or her choice; (3) restricting the right of a physician to provide treatment to an individual with a communicable disease outside of a hospital setting; (4) empowering and authorizing pharmacists to interfere with the right of a person to receive approved treatment for a communicable diseases from their physician of their choice; (5) empowering and authorizing pharmacists to interfere with the right of a physician to provide approved treatment for a communicable disease; (6) restricting a physician’s authority and privilege to practice medicine; and (7) impermissibly restricting where the practice of medicine may take place.” The lawsuit goes on to state “The Emergency Regulation violates Plaintiffs’ and their patients’ constitutional rights to privacy—the right of an individuals to protect their health by making autonomous decisions about medical treatment with a physician of their choice is a fundamental right that cannot be abridged or dictated by Defendants and no justification was provided by the BOP that would warrant such an intrusion, not even a declaration by the Governor of a state of emergency.” Even though drug makers have produced over 30 million doses since Gov Sisolak’s March 23, 2020 Emergency order banning hydroxychloroquine, Gov. Sisolak refuses to lift the ban on the drug. Gov Sisolak’s Department of Corrections was caught hoarding the drug right after the ban was issued. Attorney Joey Gilbert then told Laura Ingram, “People are dying. People are dying. If this is not used in a therapeutic use window which is a sensitive time period, each and every case is different. It depends on who you are. You know, 90% of population, maybe 80-85% are going to be fine. But it’s that 15% of high risk that are going to die… I believe this is about money. I believe this is about panic and creating a whole swath of problems for America.” See lawsuit here: https://360newslasvegas.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/04/Dr-lawsuit.pdf As reported by Reno News KTVN: Washoe County 29 deaths are: A man in his 40s A woman in her 80s with underlying health conditions A man in his 70s A woman in her 30s with an underlying condition A woman in her 80s with underlying conditions A man in his 40s with an underlying condition A woman in her 50s.
