360 News reported last weekend on the Drag Queens Storytime for kids as young as 5 years old at the Clark County Library. The event featured Drag Queens reading kids’ books to young children. The event was an effort to celebrate FAMILY PRIDE Week. The community was outraged by this disgusting use of public space. At the time, 360 News was under the impression that the Clark County library room was being rented by a group called the LGBTQ+ Book Club.

360 News has uncovered that the Clark County Library actually hosted the event and paid drag queens to attend the event. 360 News obtained the contracts between the Clark County Library and the Drag Queens, listing the event and the amount paid for their time.

The following content is directly from the contract between the Clark County Library and Lindz Aver/Queer Kid Creative, LLC

“The parties agree as follows:
1. PERFORMANCE. The Contractor shall provide the Library with the following services:
One (1) 45-minute performance for Family Pride Day 2022″

COMPENSATION. The Library shall pay the Contractor as full compensation for
everything furnished and done under this contract (covers all services, performers,
supplies, airfare, hotel, transportation, agent fees, etc.) a fee of:
$3,000.00 (Three Thousand Dollars) total, all-inclusive. Payable as 50%
($1,500.00; One Thousand and Five Hundred Dollars) mailed upon receipt of

In all, Clark County paid out more than $5,000, including the cost of the space.

No background checks were done prior to the event with kids as young as 5 years old. In 2019, A Drag Queen who read stories to children at a Houston public library last year is a convicted pedophile considered to be at risk of repeating his offense — a fact uncovered by parents opposed to “Drag Queen Story time,” not by library officials, law enforcement, or the supposed watchdog news media.

If a private organization wants to hold an event like this, go for it. That’s absolutely their right. But it should all be done on a voluntary basis with private funds.

It’s entirely inappropriate for tax dollars to be used to fund this or any event that is held as a political stunt.

It would be unacceptable to take the hard-earned tax dollars of pro-choice Clark County residents to help pay for a pro-life event. And it’s just as unacceptable to force people who may oppose an event like this to fund it.
