HomeElectionsCHRIS EDWARDS REF– USED TO PAY THE LAST 5 YEARS OF NEVADA BUSINESS TAXES BUT VOTES TO RAISE YOUR TAXES Elections, Politics May, 9, 2016 Photo by Cathleen Allison Assemblyman Chris Edwards was swept into office in 2014 in the red waive election. Edwards ran on a pledge not to raise taxes. In fact, Edwards’ website from the 2014 election said: “During each of the legislative sessions throughout the Great Recession, the Nevada Legislature has looked for ways to increase taxes on out-of-work Nevadans. This is the wrong approach.” But just like so many Republicans he broke that promise once in office voting to raise more than 25 taxes and “FEES.” So it was surprising when NEWSMAXTV LAS VEGAS found out that Edwards failed to pay his own Nevada business taxes for the past five years. Edwards listed on his Nevada Financial Disclosure Statement form he filed in January 2015, Zoetic Enterprises, Inc. (view the FDS below) a Nevada corporation as his business. In fact, the Secretary of State’s website shows Edwards as the President of the corporation. The problem is Edwards failed to pay his Nevada business taxes since 2011 yet kept operating until last year when the State of Nevada revoked its standing. (View Edward’s’ public Corporation documents below). According to inside sources, the Review Journal had this information back in May 2015 when the legislature was in session, but chose not to run it. It seems they are only interested in reporting tax issues about conservatives like Michele Fiore.
