Hello, my name is April Becker, and I am running for office in Congressional District 3. You might’ve heard my name a time or two before, but I’d like to formally introduce myself and tell you a little bit more about me. I was born and raised in a small town in Texas and have lived in Las Vegas for over 30 years. I came to Las Vegas as a young woman and worked long hours on the Strip as a server, trying to make ends meet. I was fortunate enough to be able to save enough money to put myself through college and law school at UNLV, and eventually started my own law firm, Becker and Associates. I’ve been married to my husband for twenty-two years, am a mother of three, and a new grandmother.

Our state is hurting. Our gas prices are 2nd in the nation behind California and our inflation has skyrocketed over 15%, all while over 2 million people have illegally crossed our country’s southern border this year alone! We continue to spend money we don’t have, buy oil from countries that hate us at a significant markup, and ignore the border crisis. Meanwhile, insider politicians make millions by trading stocks on information not made available to the public. This is not acceptable, it’s not fair, and you deserve better. If I’m lucky enough to represent you in Congress, I will work to create an America that’s affordable, a government that’s accountable, and a nation that’s safe. We will cut frivolous discretionary spending to combat inflation, ensure America’s energy independence to bring down prices at the pump and remove foreign nations’ control over our energy grid, and secure our southern border.

As a representative, my job is simple: to serve. To serve our men and women in uniform, our families, our small businesses, and the community I’ve called home for over 30 years. Service is my only motivation for running for this seat, and it drives me to do what I do every day. I humbly ask for your vote.
