According to the Sacramento Bee, some 2 dozen San Joaquin School kids and about 24 kids from San Diego are trapped in Afghanistan behind enemy lines. Biden declared the war over today after all troops evacuated along with some 100K Afghans.

Congressman Darrell Issa’s communications director Travis Horne said

“Our office has been in close contact with the San Juan Unified School District, and have urgently flagged the students’ information with the State Department and Department of Defense. We have not received an update from the State Department or the DOD”

Reported by the LA Times

“Cajon Valley School Board President Tamara Otero said the families had tickets to fly out of Afghanistan, “but unfortunately they were not able to get to the airport.”

“The biggest concern is that the Taliban closed the airport,” Otero said. “We are so worried about our students that are stuck there. We’ll do the best we can to get them out.”

The State Department said the kids are on their own. The U.S. Government will not go back in to help. The U.S. Government will work through regional governments and with the Taliban.
