(D) Aaron Ford, who’s running against (R) Sigal Chattah for Nevada Attorney General, co-authored a bill that gave driver’s licenses to illegal aliens who can and do register to vote in Nevada. In 2015, then, State Senator Aaron Ford and Senator Roberson pushed through Senate Bill 303, which gave driver’s licenses to illegal aliens.

Roberson is leading a group of Republicans supporting Aaron Ford against the Republican nominee, Sigal Chattah.

In March 2017, Nevada Secretary of State Barbara Cegavske signed off on a Memorandum of Understanding in response to a lawsuit filed by the Las Vegas ACLU and Mi Familia Vota Education Fund to enforce the National Voter Registration Act of 1993 (NVRA).

Under the MOU signed by Cegavske in March 2017, the DMV will accept all voter registrations, even from non-citizens, and pass those on to the county election departments and Secretary of State’s office.

“It is up to the Secretary of State’s office and not the DMV to determine and accept any such voter registration applications. The DMV will not deny any applicant for any reason under the MOU.”

Over 77,167 green card holders since 2013 were eligible to obtain a Nevada driver’s license and would have then received a mail-in ballot under the new opt-out motor voter law that went into effect last year. That doesn’t take into account the tens of thousands more green card holders who’ve been in the country for many years prior.

According to the Nevada DMV, there are 63,465 Active Driver Authorization Cards issued to illegal aliens. If they filled out a voter registration form at the DMV, it was required to be sent to their county elections departments.

The Annual number of new green card holders in Nevada, according to HHS:

360 News Las Vegas requested the following information from the Clark County Elections Division:

Under the Nevada Open Records Act (NRS.239), we are requesting

  • A month by month break down of the total number of voter registration forms of legal and illegal aliens submitted to your office from the DMV over the last 24 months.
  • A month by month break down of the total number of voter registration forms of legal and illegal aliens submitted to your office but not accepted from all sources over the last 24 months.
  • The total number of registration forms reject by your office for over the last 24 months broken down month by month.
  • The number of legal and illegal aliens purged from the voter rolls over the last 24 months broken down by month by month.

The Clark County Elections Department’s response

“We do not have access to any database which can identify legal and illegal aliens in our voter registration system. Therefore, we do not have the ability to provide the records listed in your public information request.”

The Clark County Elections Department admits in their response that they are not checking the citizenship status of any voter registration forms submitted to their office from the DMV and or any other sources. They go on in their response letter to say they operate on an honor system.

“It is the voter’s responsibility to verify that they are eligible to vote.”

Now we know why Aaron Ford and the rest of the Dems are running TV ads about abortion instead of defending their public policy record.
