The gas automobile has been the single greatest driver of wealth and economic freedom in the history of mankind. The degrowth Democrats want to destroy it, of course. Washoe County has had more than 50 feet of snow this season. Rainfall in Southern Nevada is at a 20 year high.So much for climate change causing droughts.

The climate has been changing forever, not just in the last 20 years. The temperature on Earth was much warmer than it is today when the Vikings had farms. Yes, Greenland used to be green. Our own government admits it in a 2017 article in the Smithsonian magazine, titled

Why Did Greenland’s Vikings Vanish?

They (the Vikings) discovered Greenland during a time known as the Medieval Warm Period, which lasted from about 900 to 1300 AD. Sea ice decreased during those centuries, so sailing from Scandinavia to Greenland became less hazardous. Longer growing seasons made it feasible to graze cattle, sheep and goats in the meadows along sheltered fjords on Greenland’s southwest coast. In short, the Vikings simply transplanted their medieval European lifestyle to an uninhabited new land, theirs for the taking.”

In 1400 AD, the greatest challenge (for the Vikings) —and the coup de grâce—came when the climate began to cool, triggered by an event on the far side of the world.”

This demonstrates Dems’ climate change is a fraud. The temperatures on Earth have radically warmed and cooled over the last 2,000 years without gas-powered cars.

In the 2020 Nevada Legislative Session, Dems tried to pass a bill to ban natural gas stoves and ovens in Nevada. Sisolak vetoed the bill after utility companies lobbied him. Banning gas appliances benefits GE Appliances, owned by China. Nevada Dems want to ban gas cars just like California. In fact, Dems this year purposed this

This week, Republican Governor Lombardo issued Executive Order 2023-007 protecting oil and gas.

Per Executive Order 2023-007, the state’s energy policy will be focused on developing and maintaining a robust, diverse energy supply portfolio and a balanced approach to electric and natural gas energy supply and transportation fuels. Additionally, Nevada’s energy portfolio will work to advance sustainability and reliability by including solar, wind, geothermal, hydropower, natural gas, hydrogen, energy storage, and other resources needed to meet the vast energy demands in the state.

The executive order also requires that state energy policies work to ensure all Nevada consumers and businesses continue to have diverse energy options available to them, including electric and natural gas service and energy efficiency and renewable energy resources.

“Governor Lombardo’s energy policy objectives provide a critical framework for the future of energy in Nevada,” said Dwayne McClinton, the Director of the Governor’s Office of Energy. “I look forward to partnering with Governor Lombardo to achieve his energy objectives through thoughtful and effective policy implementation.”
