ADAM LAXALT ISSUES STATEMENT FOLLOWING NVGOP ENDORSEMENT LOSS

May 4, 2022

The Laxalt campaign issued 360 News the following statement after the NVGOP voted to endorse his primary opponent Sam Brown. The NVGOP state convention attendees voted 163 to endorse Laxalt and 163 against endorsing Laxalt. Had Adam Laxalt stayed through the convention and voted for himself he would have won the endorsement.

John Burke, Communications Director, Laxalt for Senate issued the following statement to 360 News

“Adam has the support of President Donald Trump, Governor Ron DeSantis, 16 Nevada law enforcement agencies, and leaders from all over the state. Most importantly, Nevada’s rank-and-file Republican voters currently have a 70% favorable view of Laxalt—far higher than anyone running for any office in the state.” –

The NVGOP vote total was 258-65 for Sam Brown.

U.S. Senate Candidate Sam Brown issued the following statement:

“On Saturday, Republican Delegates at the Nevada State Party Convention voted to endorse Captain Sam Brown for U.S. Senate. Sam Brown’s primary opponent Adam Laxalt failed to get over the 50% threshold needed to receive the endorsement-a huge humiliation for a candidate who relied on big name endorsements but lacks grassroots presence in the State.”
