TRUMP ENDORSES JOE LOMBARDO FOR NV

Today, as the Clark County elections department is set to begin sending out mail-in-ballots to primary voters, former President Donald Trump announced his endorsement of Sheriff Joe Lombardo for Nevada governor. 

President Trump met Sheriff Joe Lombardo following the Oct. 1 Vegas Mass Shooting in 2018. Former U.S. Senator Dean Heller has been working behind the scenes to secure Trump’s endorsement. But Lombardo raised over $785K last quarter with $2.9 million cash on hand, blowing away every else. Heller raised about $155K last quarter and has just over $241K on hand. Joe Gilbert had $42K on hand in last quarter reports. North Las Vegas Mayor John Lee raised $652K and had $169K cash on hand.

Sheriff Joe Lombardo responded to Trump’s endorsement

From his tough on crime policies to his unwavering support of law enforcement, I know that there has been no greater friend to veterans and police officers than President Trump,” said Sheriff Lombardo. “As a veteran and law enforcement officer myself, I’m humbled to accept President Trump’s endorsement. I’m ready to get to work restoring law & order, fixing our education system, and building a strong economy in our great state as your next governor.”

Sheriff Lombardo’s staff said there are no plans yet for fundraising events and/or rallies with President Trump and Sheriff Lombardo.
