ALERT:Special Meeting Set For VAX Mandate NV Board of Regents

The Nevada Board of Regents are elected officials who govern Nevada Universities and Colleges. Last week all six Republicans voted together against the six committee Democrats to end the vaccine mandates for both Nevada Public State Employees and for staff and students at State run Colleges and Universities.

Following the Nevada Legislative Interim Committee refused to extend the University Vaccine Mandates for students last week a group of College Faculty going by the name Nevada Faculty Alliance are circulating a petition to the Governor to extend the vaccine Mandate for all Nevada Colleges and Universities. 

At Thursday 30, 2021, 6:00pm the Board of Regents is holding a special meeting to.

“Vote to make PERMANENT COVID-19 VACCINE MANDATES for Staff & Drafting of a “letter of support for student covid vaccine mandate” to governor, board of health & legislature.”

The Nevada Families for Freedom issued the following statement:

“The representatives of the people through the Legislative Commission failed to pass vaccine mandates submitted by the Nevada Dept. of Health. Do not attempt to subvert and circumvent the decision of the Legislative Commission, the people’s representatives. We oppose vaccine mandates. Students are at very low risk of covid and any faculty and staff can choose to be vaccinated. 85-90% of faculty and staff are already vaccinated. If the vaccine works, then the faculty and staff should not be threatened by students who may not be vaccinated. Mandating vaccines will result in many more students choosing not to return to higher education studies. We oppose asking the Governor for more emergency mandates regarding the vaccine as his mandates have already destroyed our economy, our jobs and our lives.”
