TRUMP WINS PRESIDENCY AS NEVADA REPUBLICANS GET TROUNCED

As Donald Trump rode a national wave to victory to the whitehouse, Nevada Republicans got slaughtered. Joe Heck, who just a few weeks ago withdrew his support for President elect Trump, lost due to 42,000 Nevadans who voted in his race for none of the above and over 48,000 who voted for third party candidates.

All the ballot measures also passed, including: gun background checks, legalization of recreational marijuana, and higher fuel taxes. But democrats really cleaned house in the state senate and Assembly, seizing both chambers. As many of the more moderate and liberal Republicans lost their seats, the stage is set for more conservative members who will pull the party back to the right in both Nevada and the U.S. congress.
