SISOLAK RAISES UNEMPLOYMENT TAXES, BUT HE’S KEEPING THE NEW JETS

Just days ago, 360 News Las Vegas reported Nevada came in dead last (#51) in the country with the worst unemployment numbers, even beating out Washington D.C.

So instead of cutting taxes on struggle businesses following the CV19 lock downs and after Nevada received more than $2.7 Billion in CV19 relief funds from the Feds, Sisolak officially announced he’s raising taxes on every business in Nevada. Sisolak ran the DETR system into the ground with failed affirmative action staffing policies and lost millions of dollars his failed fraud detection system. Sisolak’s DETR unemployment agency failed to get those in desperate need of benefits paid for more than a year in many documented cases.

According to reports, the Nevada Employment Security Division announced that, effective January 1, 2022, the state unemployment insurance (SUI) taxable wage base will increase to $36,600, up from $33,400. The SUI taxable wage base is calculated each year at 66 2/3% of the average annual wage paid to Nevada workers.

While many businesses are struggling to recruit and hire new workers this may be the worst timing ever to raise unemployment insurance taxes. Sisolak blew millions on 2 new private jets in January of this year, for the State, millions on a lottery for vaccinated folks and gave out millions to his cronies.

“You mean the unemployment insurance he has kept from the people of Nevada for 597 days of his “15 days to slow the spread”? Nevada got the 2nd largest amount, IN THE NATION, of the COVID “stimulus” and this crook is raising taxes. Would expect nothing less from a corrupt & dishonest politician. He’s the exact reason no current or former politician will be our next governor. They cannot be trusted.”

“Nevadans have spent countless hours on hold trying to reach a DETR employee when they needed help the most. Unfortunately, now the Governor wants to add insult to injury by increasing taxes on these struggling small businesses to bail him out of his lack of leadership and spending problem. I have pledged I will veto any new tax increases, and I strongly opposes this one.”
