ANTHONY CONFIRMED SPEAKER AT VEGAS SPACE CONFERENCE ASCEND Aug 31, 2023 The American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA) just announced dozens of speakers who will appear at its upcoming ASCEND event, October 23–25, at Caesars Forum, Las Vegas. ASCEND is the world’s premier industry space event designed to accelerate building our off-world future. The conference is expected to draw 30,000 people. The space industry has exploded (no pun intended) over the last 5 years. There are now over 10,000 start-up space companies in the U.S. alone. One of the speakers is well known to Nevadans. He’s been a Las Vegas Metro Police Officer and Captain for 25 years, and he was a Las Vegas City Councilman for another 8 years. Today, he is the Lt. Governor of the Great State of Nevada. Just last week, Lt. Gov. Stavros Anthony went on a tour of the Las Vegas Spaceport site. On the tour, he was briefed by Spacefund managing partner Meagan Crawford.
