NEWSOM DEPLOYED NATIONAL GUARD WITHOUT WEAPONS IN LA

Only after looting broke out in LA did Gov. Newsom finally order National Guard Military Police to deploy to LA to deter further looting. I was an MP in the U.S. Army from 2005 to 2009. So I know something about this. The first thing that caught my attention when I saw videos and pictures was that the MPs are unarmed.

An MP carries a standard-issue M4 rifle (the military version of the AR-15). None of the MPs sent out to patrol LA were armed with their rifles in the pictures. I guess the M4 rifles are not politically correct?

Who ordered our troops to patrol a firebombed city without proper equipment, equipment they trained with for years?

But they did release a great picture of a female MP with a female LAPD officer at a checkpoint together looking good.

“Saturday” said Newsom:

“We are continuing to rush in resources to rapidly respond to the firestorm in Los Angeles fueled by hurricane-force winds. The men and women of the California National Guard are working day and night to help Los Angeles residents during their greatest time of need. We are grateful for their continued bravery and commitment to be of service to others.”

I guess Newsom expects the MP’s to stand around and give really mean looks to deter looters.
