In a super secret poll viewed by 360, Michael Roberson’s favorables were so bad that many in the Laxalt camp are now worried Roberson might drag down the ticket in the fall. The poll was conducted last week just before early voting was about to start.

The poll compared Michael Roberson to his main opponent, Former Assemblyman Brent Jones. Roberson’s favorables among likely Republican voters was at 18% compared to Jones at 41%. This is a key indicator of how voters view Michael Roberson.

Nevada State Senator Michael Roberson has been under relentless attack from opponents including Jones for his key support in passing the largest tax increase in Nevada’s history, for authoring the bill giving drivers licenses to illegal aliens, supporting transgender bathroom policies and being a never Trumper.

In 2016, Roberson lost his bid for the 3rd Congressional District to Danny Tarkanian by twelve points, even after outspending him 5 to 1. In this poll, Roberson only received 11.4% of the votes compared to Jones receiving 23%. But 65% were undecided.

We also spoke with many Republicans who swore they would not vote for Roberson in the general election if he wins the primary. And that posses a major threat to Laxalt, because he will need every single Republican vote to win the Governor’s race. Laxalt is already facing a threat on the right from Independent candidate and Rancher Ryan Bundy. Even though Laxalt endorsed Michael Roberson for Lt. Governor Roberson losing could end up being a blessing in disguise.
