MEET A WWII VETERAN WHOSE LIFE WAS SAVED BY NUKING JAPAN!

As the President Obama completes his apology tour in Japan, I mean his peace mission on Memorial Day weekend, a day to remember America’s war dead,  it’s important to remember there were real people’s lives affect by President Harry Truman’s decision to drop two nuclear bombs on the Empire Japan and end World War II. One of those men is still with us today by the name of Kenneth Hill.

Yesterday, at the Nevada Memorial Dedication Ceremony, I had the honor of interviewing US Army Veteran Kenneth Hill , a 92 year old World War II Soldier, who served in the Philippines and whose life was saved by the bomb dropped on Hiroshima, according to him. He wore his Grandfather’s civil war cap and just oozes of patriotism and service.  He’s waiting for President Obama’s apology for offending him.
