IS A NV CONGRESSIONAL CANDIDATE A KILLER?

March 7, 2024

Dan Rodimer, a Republican who is a former WWE wrestler and former candidate for Nevada’s 3rd Congressional District back in 2020, has been charged with open murder. Let’s start by saying everyone is entitled to a presumption of innocence. But Rodimer has a criminal record for assaulting a guy in a bar back when he was 32 years old. And Collier County Sheriff’s Office records show there were two additional incidents from 2011 and 2013 in which Rodimer was accused of assault. In both cases, Rodimer was accused of punching other men at or outside of nightclubs. But there’s no evidence that either incident resulted in an arrest or charges.

Keep in mind that Rodimer is literally 6.8 feet tall and a former super-strong WWE wrestler. So it won’t take much effort for him to really hurt someone by accident. Rodimer and the victim, Christopher Tapp, who has a very unique past himself, were the stars of a Halloween party filmed by “Instagram Models.” Instagram Models is a social media content producer. According to news reports, Tapp was convicted of rape and murder in 1997, but he was found to be innocent and released from prison 20 years later.

Rodimer brought his wife and stepdaughter to the party. According to the criminal complaint filed in Clark County Court in support of an open murder charge

Rodimer went into the bathroom and confronted Tapp about allegedly giving his stepdaughter cocaine, allegedly saying, “If you give my daughter any of that [expletive], I will [expletive] kill you.”

a third witness told police that after hearing Rodimer yell at Tapp, he heard two loud banging noises and what sounded like a fight.

But

the report states “Event organizer Mark” saw Tapp lying on the bed, awake but not speaking. He also told the police he noticed Tapp’s face was swollen and there was a large mark on the left side of his neck. When Mark asked the party host what happened, he was told that Tapp slipped, fell, and hit his head on a coffee table.

Tapp was taken to Sunrise Hospital, where he died on Nov. 5. According to the autopsy report, Tapp had cocaine in his system and evidence of multiple brain bleeds caused by head injuries.

Rodimer’s initial bail was set at $200,000.
