HomeLocalILLEGAL ALIEN GETS 1 YEAR IN PRISON FOR TRYING TO KILL PRESIDENT ELECT TRUMP Local ILLEGAL ALIEN GETS 1 YEAR IN PRISON FOR TRYING TO KILL PRESIDENT ELECT TRUMP December 13, 2016 Today, in Las Vegas Federal Court, U.S. District Judge James Mahan sentenced Michael Steven Sandford, 20, to 1 year and one day in prison for trying to grab a Metro Police Officer’s gun at a rally and shoot President Elect Donald Trump. With time served he will be out in four months. Assistant U.S. Attorney Dan Schiess argued in favor of a longer sentence. Sandford, was in the US on a tourist visa which expired on August 30, 2015. The Obama Department of Justice plead Sandford out in June to one count of being an illegal alien in possession of a firearm and one count of impeding and disrupting the orderly conduct of government business and official functions. If Sanford had been convicted of trying to murder and or assassinate a public figure he could have been sentenced to life in prison. NEWSMAXTV LAS VEGAS
