Life is not always fair. Often, it’s marked by pain and loss. But many times out of great pain and loss come great things. A few days ago, Ryan Watson, a Care Flight Paramedic, kissed good bye his wife and his new born baby and went to work like every other day.

On February 24, 2023, Ryan was doing his job caring for a patient in flight when, according to the FAA, their airplane, a PC-12, broke apart in mid-air. The plan crashed in Stagecoach, Nevada. All five people on board perished, including the pilot, the flight nurse, a patient, the patient’s family member, and Ryan Watson (the flight paramedic).

Ryan is survived by his wife Kailey Watson and a baby boy named Carter Watson who was born on January 19, 2023.

His family set up a GoFundMe page to help his wife and child.

Ryan loved being a Flight Medic and brought a positive attitude to every call and patient interaction he had. Ryan had an infectious personality; he was hilarious, ambitious, and free-spirited. He loved traveling the world and going on extreme adventures outside of work with his beautiful wife Kailey, family, and friends.
