DO THE VOTERS HAVE THE RIGHT TO KNOW WHAT A CANDIDATE’S POSITION IS ON TAXES?

According to Democratic Assembly Candidate Sean Lyttle, no they don’t.  A big fight is brewing, between Republican Jim Marchant and Democrat Sean Lyttle, in Assembly District 37.  The Assembly Democrats supported an increase in the car registration fees just prior to the special session. Republican Jim Marchant went after Assembly Democrat Sean Lyttle for his support of the car registration tax in a TV commercial he just released yesterday.

Several of Lyttle’s supporters attacked the ad as untrue. However, NEWSMAXTV LAS VEGAS reached out to Lyttle for his official position on raising the car registration tax. Sean Lyttle said “I will not take a position without a bill in front of me.” When asked if his voters have a right to know before they vote, he again said “I refuse to take any position on that issue at this time.”

Republican Jim Marchant responded to Lyttle’s comment saying “I have said on the record I will not vote to raise your car registration taxes. They are already 40% higher than California. Lyttle’s refusal to take any position sounds like typical trial lawyer double talk to me. The voters have a right to know his position before they vote.”
