VOTER ID- LOMBARDO’S POLITICAL CAPITAL ON THE LINE?

VOTER ID- LOMBARDO’S POLITICAL CAPITAL ON THE LINE?

Dem lawyers sued to block the Voter ID Ballot Initiative, claiming Repair the Vote PAC’s Voter ID ballot initiative would hurt minorities because they are too stupid to get picture IDs. But the judge rejected the lawsuit.

In March 2024, “Repair the Vote” political action committee defeated the Dem legal challenge, clearing the way for the group to now gather signatures. The “Repair the Vote” political action committee, led by Dave Gibbs, filed a constitutional ballot initiative requiring voters to show a picture ID when voting in person. Nevada Gov. Joe Lombardo, who ran on fixing our broken election system, officially jumped on board and threw his support behind the ballot initiative.

As of July 2024, the group leading the effort “Repair the Vote” to put “Question 7” on the ballot has raised, year to date, just over $300K. But Lombardo’s supporters have dumped millions into the effort, with tons of mail hitting every voter’s inbox.

Now Lombardo appears to be winning this battle according to polls. In a recent poll conducted by Predictive Insights, 74% of respondents support voter ID, while 13% didn’t have a clue, and only 8% oppose it. So while Question 7 seems destined to win, the margin of victory may be seen as a poll on Lombardo’s public support.

Don’t listen to the lies claiming voter ID will reduce voter turnout. Georgia’s voter ID laws, the Election Integrity Act, originally known as Georgia Senate Bill 202, passed in 2021. Voter turnout was up by 168% over the previous gubernatorial primary in 2018 and up 212% from the previous presidential primary in 2020, when President Trump was on the ballot, according to Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger, after the voter ID law was passed.

Georgia’s huge success with voter ID once again proves just how truly racist Democrats are when they claim minorities are too dumb to get an ID in order to vote.

Repair the Voter Political Director Dave Gibbs was very positive tell 360 News

“With over 74% of voters supporting Voter ID we are headed for a historic victory with the people are bringing real change here in the Nevada.”

This ballot effort also shows another path forward for Republican policies like school choice and crime. Ballot efforts are proving to be a workaround for the Democrat-controlled State Legislature. Perhaps it’s time for a ballot initiative to reform the ballot initiative process to make it easier to make real changes to our state laws. Talk about Democracy at work.
