MURDER IN SIN CITY: MOB REPORTER JEFF GERMAN KILLED

Las Vegas Reporter, Jeff German, was murdered Saturday morning in front of his home at 10:30 am by an unidentified suspect. German worked at the legacy news outlet The Review Journal since 2010 and at The Sun prior for many years.

German focused on organized crime, political scandals, corruption in government, the kinds of things that can get one killed in this town.

Glenn Cook, the newspaper’s executive editor, said in a statement.

“The Review-Journal family is devastated to lose Jeff, He was the gold standard of the news business. It’s hard to imagine what Las Vegas would be like today without his many years of shining a bright light on dark places.”

Police say German was stabbed in front of his home and they are looking for the suspect.

Ironically, German penned a book in 2001 titled “Murder in Sin City: Death of a Casino Boss”.

Because German wrote about current and past political figures and organized crime, many are going to speculate about his death as possible payback or a cover-up of by current political figures. Many folks say, the mob never went away; they just put on suits and got elected to office.

IN recent months, five bodies have popped up in Lake Mead, one already identified as a mob hit from the 80’s. With dead mobsters coming back into the news, perhaps German knew too much?

German lived as he died, on the front page of the newspaper.
