360 NEWS SERVES AIR FORCE IN SAM PETERS RECORDS SCANDAL

2022 local Republican candidate for CD 4 and retired Air Force Major Sam Peters was one of eleven Republicans whose military records were illegally released by the Air Force to Democrat operative Abraham Payton of Due Diligence Group.
.
The Air Force identified Payton, a former research director for the Democratic group American Bridge, as having “inappropriately requested” copies of Sam’s records “for the stated purpose of employment and benefits.”

Sam received a letter this week from the Air Force informing him that his military records were unlawfully released. Of course, the Air Force used the term “inappropriately requested.” But the law requires any such releasing HR officer to obtain the military subject’s signed release prior to the release of the information Payton asked for.

Sam Peters issued the following statement:

“Look, you sanction a hitman to kill somebody, you’re guilty of a crime. You sanction somebody to steal, you’re guilty of a crime,” Peters said in a phone interview on Wednesday. “And the DCCC needs to be [held to account], and I fully intend on making sure they are.”

The Air Force informed the House committee that an internal investigation had been launched, but they have yet to provide the name of the person who unlawfully or “inappropriately provided” Sam Peter’s military records from Democrat operative Abraham Payton of Due Diligence Group. But the Air Force somehow released the letter sent out to Sam and the 11 victims to Politico, a left-wing news site.

Penalty for violations of the Privacy Act of 1974:

“Any person who knowingly and willfully requests or obtains any record concerning an individual from an agency under false pretenses shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and fined not more than $5,000.” 5 U.S.C.
An actionable invasion of the right of privacy is the unwarranted appropriation or exploitation of one’s personality, the publicizing of one’s private affairs with which the public has no legitimate concern, or the wrongful intrusion into one’s private activities in such a manner as to outrage or cause mental suffering”

Direct from the military’s HR website:

The Privacy Act of 1974 provides protections for the release of records from federal agencies that contain personally identifiable information. It blocks the release of these records without your written consent.

360 News spoke with Danielle Jensen, Communications Director for Congressman Bacon. Bacon, a retired Air Force General, a member of the House Armed Services Department, and is a victim of the unlawful HR release. Jenson told me,

“The Congressman wants the parties investigated and prosecuted.” She went on to say, “The Air Force has assured the Congressman they are updating their personal privacy procedures as well.”

360 News called the Air Force Public Information Officer today, asking for the name and rank of the person who released Sam’s military records. That information is public. Sgt. Schultz “I know nothing” came to mind as I listened to the Air Force General.

So today, 360 News served the Air Force with a FIOA (an open records request) for the name and rank of the Air Force personnel responsible for this scandal.
