ROB’S RANT- OBAMA, BLACKS SHOT BY WHITES, AND ELECTIONS

It’s the summer before a major election and again, like clockwork, the national media is focused on black men shot by police and other white people.

In 2012, the focus was on the white (actually hispanic) George Zimmerman shooting of Trayvon Martin. Zimmerman was exonerated in a trial after Obama was re-elected.

In the summer of 2014, we had the killing of Michael Brown by police in Ferguson, Missouri followed by riots.

And this summer we have the latest cases involving the police shootings of two black men: Alton Sterling in Baton Rouge, Louisiana on Tuesday and Philando Castile in St. Paul, Minnesota on Wednesday.

The media’s focus on the latest black men killed by white officers was perfectly timed with Obama starting his campaigning for Hillary this week, and of course we needed a distraction from Hillary’s corruption investigation being shoved under the rug.

But the media and Obama ignored the approximately 31,000 blacks killed by other blacks in the US since Obama took office in 2010.

Obama and the Democrats are obviously trying to distract black voters from his dismal record of failing to help black Americans with unemployment, poverty and crime.

Where was their outrage and focus then? I guess it wasn’t an election year.
