During the 2020 election, local business owner Don Ahern was an outspoken supporter of President Trump, even hosting the President at his factory for a campaign speech after Sisolak blocked other venues. Mr. Ahern continues to be a close ally of President Trump and was named finance Chair of the Nevada Republican Party earlier this year.

So when President Trump endorsed Adam Laxalt for the U.S. Senate seat in Nevada many folks were taken back. Many folks in the Pro-Trump Leadership group in Nevada lost all respect and confidence in Laxalt after his dismissal performance in his bid for Nevada Governor in 2018 against Sisolak. And when Laxalt refused to sue Dominion voting machines company after the 2020 elections may folks had enough. This was before 360 News exposed that Laxalt had approved the purchase of the Dominion voting machines as Nevada Attorney General.

Laxalt spent the last three years working at a law firm in D.C. cultivating relationships with Senators and PAC while completely ignoring the assault on our gun rights, the lock downs and the vaccine and mask mandates Nevadans have suffer through. Many Republicans were hoping Laxalt would stay in the fight and help sue the Governor. His leadership could have made a huge difference.

Even now after 13 U.S. Marines were murdered by a suicide bomber in Biden’s retreat, Laxalt still refuses to openly call for Biden to be impeached.

But for Don Ahern to publicly come out against Laxalt now and call for President Trump to ditch Laxalt for Sam Brown is a powerful statement and a clear vote of no confidence in Laxalt.

In the end Don Ahern, who has sacrificed and bleed politically and financially fighting Sisolak has come to realize that Laxalt isn’t going to save us. Laxalt isn’t going to fight for us. Laxalt only cares about Laxalt.
