NV AG AARON FORD’S RISKY WAR AGAINST TRUMP

Feb 7, 2025

Nevada Attorney General Aaron Ford may say he’s running for Governor of Nevada, but all of his actions are aimed at Trump. Ever since Trump was sworn in, Ford has made it his number one job to fight the Trump Administration at every turn, including on DEI, trans women, and of course illegal immigration. And why not? It’s smart politics for a man trying to raise money from the Dem base and hoping to secure his party’s nomination for governor.

Aaron Ford announced his office is fighting the Trump administration’s Doge, Trump’s birthright citizenship EO, Trump’s illegal immigration crackdown, and the funding pause. Ford is even fighting efforts to cut off healthcare funding for illegal aliens the Feds are trying to implement.

Last year, Aaron Ford filed criminal charges against every Nevada Republican leader who fought the 2020 election fraud case. Too bad Ford hasn’t fought violent crime as hard as he’s fought Trump.

On the flip side, Nevada Republican leaders are suspiciously silent. They should start a Nevada Doge

For his part, Gov. Lombardo has said he will support Trump’s efforts to remove criminal aliens from Nevada, but it seems his prison and police haven’t gotten the message.

“Under the new Laken Riley Act , federal officials are required to detain any migrant arrested or charged with crimes like shoplifting or assaulting a police officer or crimes that injure or kill someone”

The Governor needs to pressure our Department of Prisons to turn over the names of illegal alien convicted felons instead of fighting ICE. Clark County Sheriff needs to fully comply with the Laken Riley Act and hold the criminal aliens rather than just issuing notice to ICE before releasing them on bail.

While Ford employs a very risky political strategy that is certain to piss off the majority of voters in the state, he’s beating a huge chunk of those Trump voters from the general election don’t show up to vote in the midterm elections. Gov. Lombardo only won by 1.5% in 2022. But with the huge influx of voters fleeing California and Republicans now holding a voter registration majority for the first time in more than 20 years, Dem’s power in Nevada is in serious question going forward and so is Ford’s strategy.
