DID LAS VEGAS CHANNEL 13 NEWS CALL EL SALVADOR A GANG RIDDEN SH#THOLE?

January 14, 2018

In several recent news stories about immigrants from El Salvador, Channel 13 Las Vegas News reported about the Trump Administration’s threats not to renew the TPS program which has allowed approximately 5,700 Salvadorians here in Las Vegas over the past 17 years.

In several news stories, Channel 13’s overarching theme is that El Salvador is far too dangerous for these poor immigrants to return to. A news story today on Channel 13 Action News showed barb wire on fencing around a house a New York gardener is building for himself and his family back in El Salvador just in case President Trump makes them go back. In the story, they describe El Salvador as one of the most dangerous countries in the world.

Another story posted on January 8, 2018, Channel 13 reported: “Some are concerned a mass influx of people re-entering a gang-ridden, poverty-stricken El Salvador will cause major disruptions to the country.”

Democrats attacked President Trump all this week claiming he called several poor countries “shitholes”. But when one hears Channel 13 News describe El Salvador as so awful that we cannot send these good hard working people bad to, the word “Shithole” comes to mind.

Many of the immigrants the news story is talking about have been in the U.S. for the last 17 years under the protection of a program called TPS which has been renewed every 18 months since 2001. President Trump has signaled he does not intend on renewing TPS this year causing mass hysteria among Democrats and labor unions in Las Vegas like the Culinary Union.

While many of those immigrants from El Salvador became U.S. citizens over the last 17 years, most of them did not and they are subject to deportation.

So does Las Vegas Channel 13 action News consider El Salvador a sh#thole of not?
