CRAZY NEW NEVADA LAWS TAKE EFFECT

CRAZY NEW NEVADA LAWS TAKE EFFECT

July 1, 2019, ushered in numerous new CRAZY laws that took effect in Nevada.

BTW our favorite RINO Senators, Hammond, Hardy and Pickard voted for almost all of them.

AB12: provides services to gay and transgender veterans.

AB88: removes the requirement that parole officers check in on parolees every six months at least.

AB37: AN ACT relating to military justice; eliminating the right of a serviceman or servicewoman of the Nevada National Guard to demand a trial by court-martial in lieu of accepting non-judicial punishment; requiring a commanding officer of the Nevada National Guard to make a legal consultation before determining non-judicial punishment is appropriate; and providing other matters properly relating thereto.

AB79: This law streamlines the process for counties to sell homes that owe back property taxes.

AB86 : This pro-corruption law raises the amount of money for government purchases requiring a competitive bid process from $25,000 to $50,000

Ab95: Another attack on private wells: Existing law requires the State Engineer to conduct investigations in any basin or portion thereof where it appears that the average annual replenishment to the groundwater supply may not be adequate for the needs of all permits and vested rights claimants. If the State Engineer confirms that the average annual replenishment to the groundwater supply may not be adequate, he or she may order that withdrawals, including withdrawals from domestic wells, be restricted to conform to priority right
