CONGRESSIONAL CANDIDATE MICHELE FIORE CALLS FOR US MILITARY TO SHOOT DOWN RUSSIAN FIGHTER JET NEXT TIME!

April 21, 2016

Over the past week Russian fighter jets buzzed a US Navy ship in the black sea, almost collided with a US Aircraft and continued a pattern of testing US resolve and patience.  A Russian Fighter jet was caught on tape buzzing from 30 feet away a Navy Ship in international waters in the Black Sea on Friday. Secretary of State John Kerry issued a formal protest with the Russian Embassy in Washington.

Assemblywoman and US Congressional Candidate for CD3 Michele Fiore said in response to Russia’s actions “If Russian fighter jets did not have the authority to buzz our US Naval Ship then they should have been shot down.”

RUSSIAN ANTI SHIP MISSILE TESTS, CAPABLE OF LAUNCHING FROM AIRCRAFT

Current rules of engagement are not to fire until fired upon first. But the Russian military has anti-ship missiles capable of sinking US ships from 300 miles away like the Brahmos anti-ship missile.

Fiore went on to say “The military should change its rules of engagement and enforce our security envelope around our ships and if Russia chooses to violate it then their fighter jets should be shot down.  American lives are my priority.”

Nato ally, Turkey recently shot down a Russian fighter when the plane violated its airspace on its border with Syria.

In contrast, Congressional Candidate Andy Matthews issue the following statement “I won’t second-guess the decision made by the Commanding Officer in this instance, but we must be clear that in this type of situation, our Commanding Officers are rightly empowered to make a judgment call on what action, if any, is best in order to protect the ship and its crew. This episode continues a pattern of unacceptable behavior by Russian military personnel. Our government must make it clear to Russia, leaving no room for doubt that we will never hesitate to act when necessary to defend our servicemen and women, and indeed our national interests.”

Restraint and criticizing the Obama administration’s weak foreign policy was the response from most of other candidates running in the primary for CD3, including Danny Tarkanian and Dr. Annette Teijeiro.
